Rep. Garcia led the inauguration of 1.2 million infrastructures

An inauguration led by Congressman Albert Garcia; representative of the 2nd District of Bulacan was conducted to fully furnish the 1.2 million infrastructure of Polytechnic University of the Philippines Bataan Campus last August 15, 2008.
The million-peso-funded project which was under the auspices of the provincial government of Bataan renovated the Campus ECG Hall, the Central Student Council and other council offices; tiled the corridors of the leftwing of Building A and lighted the campus' covered court with seven 1000-watt halogen bulbs.
The students' encounter with Representative Garcia during the inauguration made them feel they found a generous benefactor. So they further took advantage of the opportunity by requesting Congressman Garcia to assist them in their projects.
Meanwhile, PUP President Dante G. Guevarra inked two Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) in the same province last September 25; one with the local government and the other with East Cam Tech.
Under the agreement signed with Mayor Jesse Concepcion of Mariveles at the Municipal Hall, the PUP-Bataan Campus will offer Bachelor in Elementary Education. The local government agreed to shoulder the salaries of faculty members assigned in the program.
On the other hand, the MOA signed with Sang Yong Kim, General Manager of the Korean Company East Cam Tech, stipulates the accommodation of PUP-Bataan students for their on-the-job training in the company and the eventual absorption of the graduates as employees of the company after training.
A Korean company general manager, Mr. Jo Hin Lee, is also interested to enter into a similar agreement with PUP and expressed his desire to meet with the University president at the Main Campus.
