PUPians New Year's Resolution (Things to do this New Year)

PUP serves as the training ground for the students wherein students apply what they have learned during their stay at the institution.
It becomes the trait-builder of the students for the reason that it teaches students etiquettes of their soon to be profession.
In the institution, the students are being prepared to become professionals thus giving them the chance to unleash what they have in-stored during class discussions, projects and examination.
Though PUP done its best when it comes to teaching the students, some students have bad mannerism dealing to their performance in school.
Since New Year has come, here is the list PUPians New Year’s resolution, things to do and change to become a great professional:

Never step to the room when the professor is already lecturing.

In short, never be late. Most of the PUPians, go to school late (though bringing with them alibis whether they experienced traffic during their way to PUP or they need to drink medicine on this time). But still, being late means a lot. When you are at work, it is necessary to be punctual. When you are late, then say goodbye to your work and find another one.

Never past requirements when it’s already due.

The submission of this article is on this week, but some PUPians pass it a week ahead. Another mannerism that PUPians must change is the mannerism of manyana habit wherein they use to make their requirements on the day that it will be passed. Just like the number 1 tip, they have alibi whether they have a lot of things to do that makes the making of the requirement delayed or they wasn’t able to got interview with that person due to no office that times or their request are not yet answered. This habits delay the passing of the requirement due to insufficient time when it was done. But still, things must be pass on the right time given. In work, you are given day to finished the task being given.

Never daydream during class discussion.

Whether they are dreaming of their favorite artist, place, or even their crush, this habit destructs the PUPians capability of learning. He or she is in another world while the teacher is giving important points for the student to acquire. PUPians must change this attitude because listening attentively is indeed a needed thing that a worker must have in the future. Daydreaming also makes the student ignorant of what has been discussed.

Never do things unrelated to the subject being attended.

Either the student is texting, reading other books unrelated to the subject or talking to seatmates, this shows sign of disrespect to the professors. Not only that, it also delays the learning that a student must acquire in a way that he/she is serving two masters at the same time which is said to be a difficult task.

Use vacant time efficiently.

Students might spend their time watching at the beautiful scenery in the park inside the PUP, lagoon, beside the river or just sitting doing nothing, what they do is just wasting time. To become more capable in work, a student must spend his time learning. Through this he might acquire new skills or enhance what he/she already possesses.

Review lessons regularly.

Some PUPians now a day is losing their burning heart and passion for studying. Some spends their time chatting in computer shops. Some spend it texting with friends and some use to play computer games instead of studying lessons. They step aside reviewing when there isn’t any exam making it possible that they are in a hurry reviewing when exam is there in front of them. When it comes to this mannerism, the PUPians forget what they have learned and when the job comes it will be hard for them to deal with their work.

Practice regularly.

Another thing that a PUPian must do is to practice what they had learned. Adopt it and apply it. Practice, makes things perfect, without practice a person’s skill is being lessened and most of the time, they forget what they had learned due to lack of practice.

PUPians must go to school to learn. Remember that college is the last stage of learning. It is the way to become professional.
